The big dial with white background and black printing provides a good visual aid of the actual temperature in the process. Case and stem\/insert are most commenly made of Stainless Steel providing a good resistance against agrassive environments even in Marine environments.rnThe insert is mostly placed in a protection tube or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thermo-electra.de\/product_category\/tauchhuelsen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thermowell\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>to protect the thermometer against the process and excessive vibrations. The thermowell or protectiontube also makes it possible to replace the indicator without shutting down the process.rnMounting of the thermometer is done by a slideable compression fitting with metal or PTFE ferrules therefor making small length issues in thermowell length not a problem.
